I even threw it out to the Serious Eats Community.

Burger Epiphany: Ray’s “Bloody Good Burgers” – On second thought – maybe not so bloody?

Maybe “Ray’s Hell” was wrong. Maybe their medium rare recommendation is just hindering their burger from perfection. Next time I’ll give the medium prep a try and test it out.
